Daily itinerary

Day 1 – Fly from London to Buenos Aires.

Day 2 – Upon arrival in Argentina, you will be met at the airport by our staff, who will take you to your hotel in the centre of Buenos Aires.  After checking in to your hotel, we will go on a tour of the city, stopping for lunch in the exclusive Puerto Madero neighbourhood.  In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome meal in a restaurant in the city, where representatives of the Argentine schools, coaches and tournament organisers will introduce themselves and you will be presented with the schedule of fixtures.

Rugby tackleDay 3 – In the morning, all British teams will be taken to a rugby club for training and will have a chance to socialise over a specially prepared athlete’s lunch.  After lunch, teams will be transported to their match venues.  As with every match day, there will be an unlimited supply of water or Gatorade for players.  In the evening, we will enjoy pizza at one of Buenos Aires’s traditional pizzerias.

Day 4 – Today you can add another stamp to your passports with a day trip to Colonia in Uruguay, one of South America’s most picturesque colonial cities.  We will travel on the Buquebus Ferry, and will enjoy lunch on board as we cross the famous Río de la Plata.  Later, we will have another evening meal together.

Day 5 – In the morning, all British teams will once again be taken to a rugby club for training and another specially prepared athlete’s lunch, before being transported to the match venues.  We will have an evening meal in a traditional Argentine restaurant.

Day 6 – We will depart for the airport early in the morning and fly to Puerto Iguazú, in the sub-tropical northwestern region of Argentina.  After dropping our bags off at the hotel, we will drive across the Brazilian border to see the spectacular Iguazú waterfalls, stopping for lunch in Brazil.  At the end of the day we will return to the hotel in Argentina, where we will have dinner.

Day 7 – Today you will get a chance to experience these dramatic waterfalls from a completely new perspective, as we visit them from the Argentine side.  After stopping for lunch, we will go on the Great Adventure excursion, giving you the chance to get breathtakingly close to the falls on a boat! In the evening we will return to the hotel for a meal together and have a chance to reflect on the day’s adventures.

Buenos AiresDay 8 – After checking out of the hotel in Iguazú in the morning, we will fly back to Buenos Aires.  We will then check in to our hotel and go for lunch in the city. Today you will have a chance to rest and enjoy the city of Buenos Aires, before having an evening meal in a pub.  After dinner, you will be taken to a specially organised party where you will get a chance to socialise with other Argentines of the same age.

Day 9 – One of the most fascinating aspects of Argentine culture is the legendary gaucho, and today you will experience the life of this enigmatic figure first-hand with a visit to an estancia (ranch) just outside Buenos Aires, which includes an impressive gaucho show on horseback.  At the estancia, we will also be served up a delicious Argentine asado.  In the evening we will enjoy dinner at a restaurant back in Buenos Aires.

Day 10 – Today you will have an early morning training session at a local rugby club, followed by a specially prepared athlete’s lunch, before being transferred to the venue of your match.  After playing today’s match we will enjoy dinner at a restaurant in Buenos Aires.

RugbyDay 11 – In the morning we will depart for the popular town of Tigre, to the north of Buenos Aires.  Known for its architectural beauty, Tigre is a favourite among foreigners and Argentines alike, and there is a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere.  After lunch at Delta del Tigre, you will be free to make use of the the available facilities such as football pitches, tennis courts and many more.  At the end of the day, we will have another group meal in Buenos Aires.

Day 12 – This is perhaps the most exciting day of the tour.  You will start the day off with your fourth match of the tournament, followed by lunch at the club.  In the afternoon all teams will be seeded according to their performance throughout the tournament and will compete for either the Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze cups.  After your final match, there will be a presentation event and celebratory party, where winning teams will be given their prizes, and players can get together to reflect on what will have been a fantastic tournament!

Day 13 – On this day you will bid Argentina farewell, and travel to Ezeiza International Airport for your flight back to London.

Day 14 – Arrival back in London.
